Structure of the power gridDistribution grids
The distribution grids transfer electrical energy to the consumers. They are divided into high-voltage (110 kV), medium-voltage (up to 50 kV) and low-voltage (400 V) systems. Depending on the required power, individual industrial companies are connected to the high- or medium-voltage grid. Smaller consumers, however, have only a low-voltage connection. With decreasing voltage there is usually an increase in the network density.
